Faceted search

The Smart search allows you to implement a faceted search. You can build this type of search using document categories. It is achieved through a Smart search filter web part, which is bound to the categories available in the system. The filter is then connected to a search dialog. In this example, the search dialog is hidden using CSS and the results are displayed automatically whenever the category filtering options are changed.

For full documentation of the Smart search application, see Setting up search on your website.
